Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree
Superintendent Certificate or currently working towards certification
Appropriate Texas Education Administration certificate
1. Provide leadership and direction to the district’s quality education program.
2. Directs, guides, and facilitates the district’s strategic planning processes.
3. Supervises and evaluates the district’s principal and central office personnel.
4. Organizes and facilitates instructional leadership opportunities for current and
aspiring teachers.
5. Oversees the formation of the budget and financial operations of the district.
6. Actively supervise and provide direct assistance and counsel to principal and central
office personnel.
7. Lead and facilitate the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan and Building School
Improvement Plan processes.
8. Maintains communication with educational leaders at the local and state levels to
remain abreast of educational trends and issues.
9. Assist the Board of Trustees in the development of Board of Education policies and
district procedures to accomplish the district’s mission.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough understanding of school operations
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate district operations
Experience with Title I, Special Ed, Special Programs and PEIMS
Experience:
Five years experience as a school administrator
